Walking 30 miles in September for Dementia, and in memory of my beautiful mum
Friday 29th AugHi all. In September I will be walking 1 mile a day (30 miles in total) to help raise much needed awareness and funds for Dementia UK.
This is a charity very close to my heart, having lost my beautiful mum to this devastating disease earlier this year.
£4 would cover the cost of 1 family calling the dementia helpline to get the support they need.
£50 could pay for 2 carers to receive an hour of vital 1-1 support from a dementia specialist.
£66 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping 2 families in the community with practical solutions and emotional support.
Any sponsorship you can give, no matter how small, would be most welcomed and very much appreciated.
