I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Beautiful Saturday

Sunday 14th Sep
Got out for a nice long walk along the river Witham. Rained as soon as I got there and got a bit soggy for the first hour. Then got some beautiful sunshine. Managed 8 miles with my youngest in tow. She is deffo sleeping tonight!

Day 10

Wednesday 10th Sep
Wasn't hugely in the mood to walk today as Wednesday's are a busy day of the week in this house. Had to do around 200 laps of the house to top up to the 2 miles today. If we had neighbours they would think I'm crazy. Those that know me wouldn't think as they'd already know 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

Squeezed this one in!

Sunday 7th Sep
Another day in hospital with Ben. After a day of tests we got the green light to go home and managed to get in at 10 past 11. So I got myself out for a quick mile as I know as hard as today has been days with dementia are always a stretch harder. So as the saying goes, I made the effort to go the extra mile today. Now time for bed. 😴

Creepy Creaking trees and a random Badger.....

Saturday 6th Sep
Got out after 10 for my walk this evening. Out on my own in the pitch black. Not my favourite time or circumstances by any means but poor Ben is poorly so was on my own or not at all. Was fairly uneventful but a badger about stopped my heart when I rounded a corner for him to jump out and have a growl before running off. Defo tested my heart 😂🦡

Interesting day

Saturday 6th Sep
Been an interesting day. Ben got rather poorly rather quickly and most of the day has been spent in hospital. Not sure whats going on or when we shall be home. Took a walk through some creepy corridors and managed to get my steps in while I was hanging around. Fingers crossed we get home soon 🤞🏼

Lovely midnight walk

Thursday 4th Sep
Had a long day with the wee ones first day at school, she was a champion but still wants game for sleep come the end of the day. So 10pm finally settled we got ourselves sorted and headed out. Stars were beautiful, well worth the effort 😍

Another late one

Wednesday 3rd Sep
Lovely walk in the rain with my youngest daughter, my eldest daughter and our 2 dogs. Was enjoyable if a bit soggy ☺️

Lunchtime walk

Tuesday 2nd Sep
Got out on my lunch at work and managed another 2.2 miles. Ideally would like to reach 60-90 miles 🤞🏼

Better late than never.....

Monday 1st Sep
Managed to get out for a 2 mile walk this evening after a busy day. Can tell we are coming to the end of the year as it was pitch black. Thank you all for your kind donations. Please continue to share to help me raise as much as possible for DementiaUK
