I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

Hi, I’m Violet, I’m 6 years old, and this September I’m taking on a very special challenge — walking 30 miles to raise money for Dementia UK, in memory of my lovely Grandpa. 💜

My Grandpa sadly passed away in May 2026 after living with dementia/Alzheimer’s. He was my very special Grandpa, and to me he will always be remembered as the “Tickle Monster” — because he was always there to make me laugh and give me the biggest tickles! 🥰

Losing Grandpa has been very sad, but I wanted to do something special in his memory. So, with my little legs and a very big heart, I’m going to walk 30 miles throughout September to help raise money for Dementia UK.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity, helping families affected by dementia so that no one has to face dementia alone.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to help them cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

If you can spare a little something to support my challenge, I would be so grateful. Every penny will help me walk those miles for Grandpa and help other families who are going through what our family has been through.
