I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Mamgu/Nan;
Monday 20th Apr Although it doesn’t seem like much, I would like to complete this is honour of my Nan (Mamgu), who sadly died on 30/03/26 after a three year long battle with dementia. It was horrific watching the disease strip away the very essence of what made her, her. On this challenge, with every step I take, I will be remembering Mamgu for who is she really was; a kind, gentle soul, always laughing, and who only showed love. Without Mamgu, I wouldn’t be where I am today and I am truly grateful to have had such an amazing woman in my life. I had a horrific childhood, and when I could leave, I did, and straight into the arms of my Mamgu who had been waiting all these years for me to return home; and she showed me nothing but love, and gave me hope of a better future when I was at my lowest. We had just shy of 11 years together before she passed, and I am so grateful for them, but most importantly, grateful for her.
