I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
My wonderful uncle Keith was recently moved into a specialist care home as his dementia had progressed so much he was no longer safe to live independently. He is in Manchester so I rarely see him, but growing up he was numero uno!!!!!!
We visit him when I go up and have been grateful that he still remebers us, but am very aware that this could change with each visit 💔
He has good days and bad days, but my aunties go in to see him every day and can now leave reassured that he is safe and cared for in their absence 😇😇
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
