I'm walking 100 miles in September

I’m walking   100 Miles in September with the company of Buddy my Labrador (and anyone else who wants to join me). I am raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you

Bryony

My Updates

Week 4 plus 2

Wednesday 1st Oct
Probably the hardest week, a target to meet , arthritis got the better of. Buddy and a busy week of work and taxi duties meant finding the time was a challenge in itself.
Still, 35 miles later and we’ve smashed the target.
110  miles walked, 80 miles over the challenge target. Now I just need to reach my £500 target, £73 still  to go.  All for a worthy cause, that will hopefully make future generations not have to experience this cruel disease.

Week 3

Tuesday 23rd Sep
Week 3 finished with just under 25 miles, not bad but would have preferred a few more miles had time allowed.. The weather has been kind although coats are coming out now!
Super grateful to my sponsors who have helped to push my total up this week.
Moving into the last week now and hoping to smash the 100 miles. Buddy’s arthritis is not helping him so I might have to go solo for some of it as we head towards the end of September.

Week 2

Tuesday 16th Sep
Two weeks in to my challenge now and last week was a busy one. Managed to walk just over 26 miles, somewhat aided by travelling via London to Bath during a tube strike so was able to put some extra (fast) miles in  across London., who knew there was life above the underground!
Visited my Dad in Bath which was lovely yet echoed the further support needed in fundraising towards dementia and finding a cure (if thats at all possible for future generations). Anything anyone can help would be appreciated, whilst I did well with miles last week, I need to work on donations.

Week 1

Sunday 7th Sep
It’s been a good start to my challenge, the weather has been kind, warm sunshine and mostly dry.

Buddy and I have managed  24.2 miles so I’m increasing my target from 60  ( I had secretly wanted 90) to 100 miles.

I’ve had some lovely generous donations this week, thank you to all. I realise with the GNR this week lots of people are asking for donations .
Let’s see what week two brings.
