I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Walk for Dad
Saturday 11th OctHi everyone,
After my dad’s recent dementia diagnosis, I’ll be honest — I felt a bit clueless. So I started doing some research, and I was blown away by the incredible support offered to both him and my mum by so many charities and healthcare professionals.
When Dad started on new medication (with some not-so-great side effects!), the dementia nurse was straight on the phone, explaining everything clearly and arranging a different prescription — even delivering it to their door. That level of care and compassion truly inspired me.
This October, I’ve decided to walk two miles every day to raise vital funds for Dementia UK, helping to provide specialist dementia nursing support for more families across the UK.
Every pound really does make a difference — it means more calls answered, more carers supported, and more people finding the strength to cope.
