I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Since my husband, Kevan's, young onset Alzheimers diagnoses, we have found Dementia UK's Young Dementia Network practically the only source of information and advice relevant to those affected young and their families and supporters.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Why I am doing the challenge
Tuesday 15th Sep It took two years of misdiagnosis for my husband, Kevan, to get a his young onset Alzheimers diagnosis. On the day the consultant informed us, we were advised to " go and have a coffee". After that, it took 8 weeks before we had any follow up at all, including the diagnosis letter from the consultant.Thank you to my Sponsors
