I'm cycling for Dementia UK

Every weekend I can often be found disappearing into the countryside of Oxfordshire on my orange Cannondale bike, enjoying the winding rural roads through charming villages, open fields, and rolling hills. Each ride is a journey where my mind has a chance to ruminate over the many mysteries of life, love, and symmetry, while my legs brave the occasional bumpy roads and steep hills just to make sure I can always feel the wind rush through my body. Each ride is an adventure into the unknown, a chance to bask in the joy of discovering a hidden bridleway or a lovely intricate level-crossing, and a memory to be treasured.

Memories are precious, but the untimely and unwanted loss of them through dementia is brutally cruel. Since I am already enjoying cycling, I thought I would take on a cycling challenge and raise funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone (and also to get a free T-shirt). This challenge of riding 30, 40, or 50 miles in a day is for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and I would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference: £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one's distressed behaviour.

Thank you!
