I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Why I’m Walking for Dementia
Wednesday 29th JulThis walk is incredibly close to my heart.
My nan lived with dementia before she sadly passed away. Watching someone you love slowly change because of this cruel disease is something that stays with you forever. It doesn’t just affect the person living with dementia, it affects every family member and friend who loves them.
I also work in a care home, where I have the privilege of supporting people living with dementia every day. I’ve seen their strength, their resilience, and the importance of kindness, patience and understanding. I’ve also seen the impact dementia has on families who visit their loved ones, holding onto every smile, every memory and every moment of recognition.
That’s why I’ve decided to take on this walk.
I’m walking in memory of my nan, for the wonderful residents I care for, for their families, and for everyone whose lives have been touched by dementia.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund vital research, support families and improve the lives of people living with dementia.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me make a difference.
