I'm walking 62 Miles in October for Dementia UK

This October, I'm walking 62 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Thank you for your support!

62 miles might sound like a breeze until you remember my usual daily routine involves moving strictly between the desk and the kettle! To conquer the distance without collapsing, I’m breaking it down into a bite-sized 2 miles a day to raise funds for Dementia UK.

This walk is for a very special lady in my life. The grand matriarch who still brews the comforting cup of tea, even if she occasionally forgets she just boiled the kettle five minutes ago, or calls me by my mam's name with absolute confidence. Watching someone you love navigate those foggy, mixed-up moments isn't easy, but holding onto the giggles, the warmth, and the good days makes all the difference.

Dementia UK can be a  total lifeline for families navigating this journey. They provide the expert advice, emotional backing, and hands-on guidance that keep families standing strong when things get unpredictable.

Two miles a day is a small price to pay to support such an incredible cause. If you can spare a couple of pennies to sponsor my daily plodding or simply share this page it would mean the absolute world to me.

Thank you so much for the support (and wish my knees luck)!
