Walk 30 Miles in September 2026

I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

My reason why ….

Tuesday 1st Sep
Anyone that’s been affected directly by Dementia knows what a devastating and cruel impact it has. Watching our Mum decline and suffer the way she did was heartbreaking. Add to that the restrictions in place at the time because of Covid, there are moments/decisions that will truly haunt me for the rest of my life.
Sadly it’s not just our Mum, we lost our dear Auntie Aud too (Mum’s sister).

A few years ago me and Murphy did a walk every day for Dementia UK and last year I swam 10k. This time it’s walking a mile every day in September. It may not seem a big ask but I’m super unfit and very static most days.

I really hope that at some point in the future no family will have to face this cruel disease and if you can help me support this wonderful charity, I’d be very grateful. I'll keep you updated!

Thanks everyone ❤️
