I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

My story

Sunday 31st Aug
Hi everyone.
I am looking to run a minimum of 62 miles / 100km in October to raise money for Dementia UK. I have been looking for ways to challenge myself with running and, after experiencing the impact dementia has on individuals and their families, I'd like to try and make every kilometer count.

3 years ago, my incredible Dad was diagnosed with dementia. As a family, we have watched him struggle with his memory and motor function whilst treasuring the parts of him which have continued to shine through: his love for his family; his caring nature; his enjoyment of social situations; and his fantastic sense of humour!
However, dementia has also affected us as a family. Understanding and accepting what is happening has been a challenge for us all, and it is something we have to go through over and over again.
By running at least 3.3km a day, I hope I can help other families like mine.
Thank you for your support and keep checking back as I will keep this page updated with my progress.
