I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Doing it for my much missed parents

My Mum was taken by Dementia 5 years ago having spent most of her adult life caring for the elderly, she never got the retirement she deserved. 
My Dad was taken by Dementia in April last year having spent years alone, missing Mum painfully. I took time out of my career between September 2024 and April to care full time for my Dad and without the support from charities and the NHS I wouldn’t have been able to do it. It is horrendous to see how this disease reduces the people we idolise and adore to almost nothing but I would do it all again if I went back.
