Walk 30 Miles in September 2026

I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Why!

Friday 28th Aug
In September, I’m taking on a challenge that means so much more to me than simply walking or running 30 miles.
I’m doing it for my Nan ❤️.
Dementia is something that has affected our family so closely, and watching someone you love experience it is incredibly difficult. It’s an illness that doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed, it affects the whole family. The memories, the conversations, the little moments you’ve shared over a lifetime… suddenly, things can start to change.
And that’s why this challenge means so much to me.
Throughout September, I’ll be walking and running 30 miles for dementia. Some miles might feel easy, others might feel tough, but whenever I’m tired or wondering why I’m doing it, I’ll think of my Nan.
She is my why.
I’m doing this to raise awareness. To raise money. To support the work being done to help people living with dementia and the families who are navigating it alongside them.
But I’m also doing it because I want to turn something incredibly difficult into something positive.
Every mile will be for my Nan.
Every step will be for the memories.
Every pound raised will hopefully help make a difference to someone else walking a similar journey.
Dementia has taught me not to take the little things for granted. To treasure the conversations, the laughs, the photographs, the cups of tea, the stories and the moments that might seem ordinary at the time but become incredibly precious.
Life really can change in the blink of an eye.
So, throughout September, I’ll be putting one foot in front of the other and reminding myself just how lucky I am to have my Nan. 🥹❤️
30 miles might be my challenge, but my Nan is my motivation.
If you’re able to support me, whether that’s with a donation, sharing my challenge, joining me for a walk, or simply cheering me on, I would be so incredibly grateful.
Here’s to 30 miles, raising awareness, making a difference and doing it all for the woman who gives me my biggest reason to keep going.
For you, Nan. Every single mile 🥹❤️.
