I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles, this might not seem like a lot but it’s something extra to fit in whilst caring for someone. Some days are easy some are challenging. Dementia UK have been there for me. I never in million years thought that I would ask for help but thankfully I did. They are supportive by listening, they have a wealth of knowledge about who to contact for adapting your life , social inclusion, practical help and which services suit your needs. Dementia is so complex and they support all the family navigating their way through such a worrying time. If you have been there you will totally understand this. If you don’t then I’m glad for you. The older population can sometimes have very lonely time. Just stop smile and say hi. We all need to feel love. Thanks for your support and reading this. Love Amie x
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
