I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK

This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

14 days in and still ensure Charlie and I go our one mile jog.

Don’t think this will not affect you or your family, it will, unless we spend money on research to get rid of this terrible disease.

Friday 4th Apr
Four days in and within our twice daily walks we ensure that we jog along. Charlie loves it but he is so much faster than me. He’s happy to be sponsored as well. 

Great Start but……

Tuesday 25th Mar
Thank you for all those who have donated.  We can do a lot to help and we have the time I would like to raise the stakes to £500.

If you have ever had to deal with dementia then you will know how difficult it can be and this charity deserves all our attention. 

Over  50% of us will be involved with someone who has dementia in our life time, we need to find medication to eradicate this terrible life changing illness.

Please donate don’t ignore this it will affect you and your family if not now but within your life time.
