I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Why ?
Thursday 30th JulHello everyone! 👋
I’m taking on a Walk for Dementia, and I wanted to share a little bit about why this cause means so much to me.
Life has a way of guiding us toward our purpose, even through the hardest times. A few years ago, I faced my own major health battle with a possible cancer scare . After years of being brushed off by doctors, I took control of my own health, sought alternative opinions in January and thankfully had a successful surgery , where all precancerous cells were removed . Coming through that experience left me with a deep desire to give back, which led me straight into care work.
Every single day as a carer, I see firsthand how cruel dementia really is. I watch how deeply it impacts our clients and their families. As carers, we walk into work each day never knowing what mood our clients will be in, or if they’ll even remember who we are from one visit to the next. It’s heartbreaking, but it also drives me to support them as best I can.
I’m stepping up for this walk to help raise vital funds and awareness for everyone affected by this relentless condition. If you’re able to support, donate, or even just share this post, it would mean the world to me and the people I care for.
Thank you so much for your support! 💙
