I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK
This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Inspired by Care: Why I Took on the Walk 60 Miles in June Challenge
Tuesday 16th JunMy motivation for taking on the Walk 60 Miles in June challenge comes from the work I do supporting people living with dementia, particularly older adults.
Every day, I have the privilege of helping individuals maintain their independence, achieve their personal goals, and enjoy the best quality of life possible. Working closely with people living with dementia is both rewarding and inspiring. Despite the challenges they face, many continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, courage, and determination.
Spending time with them has taught me some of life’s most valuable lessons: the importance of patience, compassion, understanding, and perseverance. Their strength inspires me daily and reminds me never to take for granted the simple things in life.
Taking part in this challenge is my way of supporting a cause that is very close to my heart. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness about dementia and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities. Beyond that, the challenge serves as a personal reminder of the importance of staying active and promoting wellbeing, both for ourselves and for those we care for.
I am passionate about supporting and advocating for people living with dementia, and that passion is what inspired me to get involved. Every mile I walk is dedicated to the incredible people I have had the honour of supporting and to the ongoing effort to improve the lives of those affected by dementia.
