I'm running 100K in 24 hours for Dementia UK

In memory of my late Grandma that I recently lost due to this awful disease. This April, I have decided to attempt to run 100k in 24 hours and on  Friday 18th April I’ll be taking on this challenge and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Injury Update

Tuesday 4th Mar
After seeing a physiotherapist regarding my knee, turns out I’ve sprained my Lateral collateral ligament (LCL). Good news that’s it’s nothing serious, it does however mean that I need to spend some time exercising and regaining strength around my ligament. So unfortunately this run will once again have to be postponed.  

Road to recovery begins properly now and hopefully I can be back fully fit in the coming weeks. New run date TBC.

Unfortunately I need to postpone this run due to a knee injury. Not something I can risk with such a big distance to achieve. 

The run will now be planned for Saturday 29th March 2025. Thank you all for your donations and sorry to have to delay this, the run will get completed  when I’m 100% fit. Thanks
