I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

My Updates

An unfortunate two weeks 😪

Sunday 26th Oct
As a lot of people are aware I suffer from a Chronic Pain Condition. Sadly after coming back from my holiday 2wks ago. I began to have a flare up. The pain being as bad as it was kept me from leaving the house or travelling too far.
Although I do have a lot more to update in regards to the holiday. All logged just need to add the miles on here.

I am truly gutted and can assure you over the next few days I will do my upmost best to get in as much miles as I can.

I am so sorry. I was hoping that this month would be a better month but the CRPS had other ideas.
I truly am thankful to all of you.

62miles of walking in October

Friday 26th Sep
Those who know me, know how much of a challenge this will be.
The anxiety of going out, especially for a walk weighs heavy everyday.

This year I have decided to do the 62miles of walking in October for Demetia UK. For a very personal reason.
My amazing wonderful grandad was diagnosed a few years ago and recently has deteriorated. Whilst working for the NHS I experienced many families going through the effects of this awful disease.
Now knowing first hand how cruel it can be and what it takes from everyone, the person suffering but also those around them.

My grandad was and is a man I look up to. He's been my world and now he's being taken from us all everyday.

My amazing Nan fought hard and gave the most unbelievable care she could. Seeing the pain she goes through is heartbreaking.

More needs to be done to support those affected by this.

I would be truly grateful for any donation. Big or small.

Please all know I will do my upmost best to complete this.

For my wonderful Nan and Grandad ❤️
