62 miles for our Josie🤍

Thursday 25th Sep

On the 17th September, our beautiful Nan Josie peacefully passed away with her family around her. She has left us with so many incredible memories — from dragging me out of bed at 5am when I was little (even though Dad specifically told her not to!) to taking us to Blackpool to see the illuminations being switched on. As a kid, it felt absolutely magical. And of course, there’s a reason she was lovingly known as Nutty Nan.

Nan left her mark on everyone she met. People knew her for covering miles around Wolverhampton — whether it was shopping, eating out, or in later years accidentally ending up in Birmingham after one of her little adventures. She was full of life, full of laughter, and full of love.

When a friend sent me the 62 Miles in March challenge for Dementia UK, I couldn’t think of anything more fitting. Walking those miles feels like a perfect way to honour her memory — every step a reminder of her energy, her humour, and her unstoppable spirit.

I’ll be taking on this challenge in her name, raising money to help families affected by dementia get the support they need. If you’d like to support me — whether that’s through donating, sharing my page, or just sending a kind message — it would mean the world.

This one’s for you, Nutty Nan. 💜
