I'm walking 62 Miles in October
This October, I’ll be taking on the challenge of walking 62 miles to raise vital funds so that families affected by dementia can get the specialist help, advice, and support they so desperately need.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My father recently passed away after living with dementia, and my nan also had the illness. I’ve seen firsthand the devastating impact it has – not just on the person living with dementia, but on the whole family.
This walk will not be easy for me. I have my own health challenges, and completing 62 miles will push me to my limits. But I’m determined to do it in memory of my dad and nan, and to help others going through what we went through.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. If you’re able to support me, I’d be so grateful – together, we can make sure more families get the care and guidance they need.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!
