Fans vs Dementia

We're taking on Fans vs Dementia

We’re excited to share that we’ll be taking part in the Fans vs Dementia Walk on 18th April—a 12‑mile route between St James’ Park and the Stadium of Light.

We would love to have as many of our care workers as possible join us on this meaningful challenge. If you’re interested in taking part, please let me know so we can make the appropriate adjustments to your working day.

This walk is incredibly important, as it raises both awareness and vital funds for Dementia UK—a cause close to all our hearts and deeply connected to the work we do every day.

During the course of 90 minutes, 30 people in the UK will develop dementia.

We're taking Fans vs Dementia and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Every step we take is for the individuals and families affected by dementia . people who inspire us every single day with their strength, resilience, and courage. Supporting causes like this reminds us why we do what we do in social care - to provide compassionate care, dignity, and understanding.
