Walking for Our Queen: In Honour of Nanny Dot 👑
This May, we’re taking on a 31-mile walk for someone incredibly special to us — our beloved Nanny Dot, our Queen.
Dementia is something that has touched our family deeply. Watching someone you love change in ways you can’t control is heartbreaking. It’s not just the memory loss — it’s the little moments, the stories, the laughter, and the pieces of a person that slowly feel out of reach. But even through it all, Nanny Dot is still our Queen — strong, loved, and at the very heart of our family.
This walk is our way of showing up for her.
Every step we take is for the memories she’s given us, for the love she’s always shown, and for the strength she continues to have. We’re also walking for every family going through the same thing — because dementia doesn’t just affect one person, it affects everyone around them.
We want to raise as much as we can to support Dementia Awareness — to help fund research, improve care, and bring hope to families facing this journey.
