I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK.

This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Good Friday visit to Ferndown

Friday 18th Apr
Morning visit to Ferndown Manor care home to visit Patricia. Few tears from her on our on arrival, then smiles, talks of the past , laughter and later  sleep. Special moments . The staff there are amazing and work hard supporting those in care.  Thankyou all once again for your generous donations for my jog a mile for dementiaUK, it  means such a lot.

Day two

Wednesday 2nd Apr
Strapped knees today

day one ...a struggle!

Tuesday 1st Apr
Morning Run and was extremely unfit. I will see if my time improves by end of April!

Springing into Action

Tuesday 25th Mar
I doing my best to raise some money for Dementia UK. I am not a keen runner and I had an operation on my foot last year  so I  thought one mile may be doable for me.!  I know easy for many others! . My Dad has Alzheimer’s and my mother in law has dementia . My dad’s siblings too have dementia including my aunty Rosie, who recently passed away.  It is difficult for all those involved with loved ones living with Dementia, a mixture  of emotions for everyone .  I love my Dad and this  fundraiser will be for him  and to support  all others  living with Dementia . Any  donation of any amount will be appreciated .
